How to delete duplicate photos with the built-in iOS 16 tool

There are two ways to delete duplicate photos on your iPhone with the built-in tool, but you’ll want to use the one that better fits your needs. First, you can select multiple photos at once, then tap the trash icon in the bottom left corner of the screen to delete all selected photos at once. Alternatively, you can tap each photo individually and tap on the trash icon to send each one to Trash without deleting any other photos in your Camera Roll at the same time.

1) What is Live Photos

Live Photos is a new feature in iOS that turns your still photos into mini video clips. The Live Photo feature is turned on by default, but you can turn it off if you want to save storage space on your device. When you take a Live Photo, your iPhone or iPad will automatically record a short video clip along with the still photo. You can then view the Live Photo by pressing and holding on the photo in the Photos app.

To delete duplicate photos, open the Photos app and tap on the Albums tab. Then, tap on the Recently Deleted album. You will see all of the photos and videos that have been deleted in the last 30 days.

2) What are Memories

Memories are a way to relive past experiences and share them with others. They’re also a way to keep track of what’s important to you. With iOS 16, you can now delete duplicate memories, making it easier to manage your collection and freeing up space on your device. Here’s how:
