Medicine For Abortion In Dubai, What New Research Revealed

Access to abortion treatments is a major challenge for many. Abortion services are usually only available at certain clinics with specialized equipment like ultrasound, and often require a long journey Medicine for Abortion in Dubai. When it was introduced in the UAE in 2007, it offered an easier way to get abortions.

Requirements for abortion

However, medical abortion was initially heavily regulated and could only be performed privately in abortion clinics. The guidelines also require an ultrasound to confirm that the patient is less than 11 weeks pregnant and is not ectopic.

However, the pandemic has introduced a new screening model that relies solely on a patient’s medical history to confirm eligibility for medical abortion. After a telemedicine consultation with your doctor, you can also have the medication sent to you by post. The FDA also permanently allows mail-order pharmacies to ship Medicine for Abortion in Dubai to patients.

As a public health social scientist who has studied abortion safety and access for over a decade, I was curious to see how this new treatment model compares to previous models. In our new study, my colleagues and I found that screening patients based on medical history instead of physical exams or ultrasounds is just as safe and effective as personality tests and other basic tests

telemedical data

To compare the safety and effectiveness of these two treatment models, my colleagues and I collected plot data from approximately 2200 patients from 12 clinics across the United States. 42% visited a telemedicine service and received Medicine for Abortion in Dubai through the mail. None of the patient groups underwent physical examination or ultrasound.

Ratio of Successful Abortions

We reviewed data on adverse events or problems that may occur after patients take abortion medication. Overall, we found that 95% of patients completed the abortion without any additional intervention. This is comparable to the completion rates of previous medical abortion studies, which were prescribed after ultrasound and in-person examination. Only 0.5% of patients experienced serious adverse events, comparable to previously reported rates based on subjective testing.

Also, no significant differences in efficacy or safety were found between groups who received Medicine for Abortion In Dubai directly and those who received them by mail after a telemedicine consultation.

Overall, we found that medical abortions prescribed after taking a patient’s medical history were just as safe and effective as those prescribed after an in-person pelvic exam and ultrasound.

With a limited number of clinics and providers, bans on insurance coverage. And also government restrictions, abortion seekers face significant barriers to receiving the care they need.

Eligibility

However, moving to remote screening and reducing in-person testing may expand access to abortion treatment for more patients. More doctors can prescribe it because it doesn’t require any special equipment like an ultrasound machine. Primary caregivers working in rural, low-income, and other marginalized communities can provide medical abortion screening and improve equitable access to abortion care.

The Medical College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the National Abortion Federation have previously issued guidelines. These guidelines reflect the fact that a medical history without a pelvic exam or ultrasound is sufficient to assure eligibility for medication abortion.

However, it should be noted that government restrictions have prevented this new care model from being implemented across the board. Some states have laws that require ultrasounds, others require in-person visits, and others prohibit telemedicine exams. These laws are not based on scientific evidence or medical necessity as they claim. And as evidenced by the high safety and efficacy rates from our and other studies.

This new model, originally

introduced to reduce physical contact during the epidemic will help remove barriers to medical abortion. It will expand access to equitable care for all patients.
